Smart mobility

Qualcomm Technologies and Great Wall Motor (GWM) Limited are going to work together on smart mobility. GWM will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride Platform to develop its enhanced intelligent driving system called GWM “Coffee Intelligence” system. The system is expected to be used in vehicles in 2022. In China, GWM is the first company to make use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride Platform.

The Snapdragon Ride Platform is an open and scalable automated driving solution. Further, this enhanced platform aims to address the difficulty of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) use cases across industry segments by leveraging power-efficient hardware, high-performance, autonomous driving stack, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to deliver an energy and cost-effective systems solution.

The Snapdragon Ride Platform is developed on modular and scalable heterogeneous high-performance multi-core CPUs, cutting-edge GPU, and energy-efficient AI and computer vision (CV) engines. Thus, it supports multiple segments of autonomous driving and offers industry-leading thermal efficiency.

The GWM “Coffee Intelligence” system supports several high-resolution cameras and offers users L2 and L3 intelligent driving capabilities with multi-source heterogeneous sensors.
