The AFRL is situated in Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. The laboratory is expected to lead the development, integration, and discovery of warfighting technologies in space, air force, and cybernetics. For more than 80 years, the laboratory is contributing toward the Air Force and Department of Defense.

CIS Mobile is a sister company of CIS Secure and a leader in mobile platform security. Thus, it has been chosen by the Air Force Research Laboratory to expand a secure mobility platform for the United States (US) Air Force.

President of CIS Mobile, Bill Anderson, said, “We are pleased that the Air Force Research Laboratory has selected CIS Mobile to expand cutting-edge captures and improve the security of cellular technology.” Further, he mentioned, “Our altOS platform is specifically designed to meet the purposes of governments for a flexible, secure, and cost-effective form of a smartphone. We are moving forward to commit to this task to expand critical and next-generation captures that would be the design to increase the availability, security and usability of cellular devices for the US government.”

CIS Mobile altOS solution is a modified version of a modern Android OS that offers an exclusive range of functions from geo-fencing controls that restrict microphone, wireless, and camera use in sensitive services to management and formation of numerous independent secure containers. The altOS solution plays an important role in closing the security gap for mission-critical regulatory authorities with a complete Android platform controlled by a government agency. With AFRL, the CIS Mobile project will advance reliability, security, compactness, and portability at an HWAC Layer in the altOS platform. A single altOS smartphone can manage everything and allows users to switch with just a tap.
